Modern Drives & Controls Ltd designed, manufactured and programmed five bespoke control panels for Claydon, providing the control systems required for their horse walker equipment.
Each panel was developed to provide straightforward, reliable control of the horse walker's operating speed and direction, together with emergency stop functionality.

Bespoke Control Panel Design
The five panels were designed and built in-house by Modern Drives & Controls, with component selection and panel layout tailored to the application.
At the heart of each panel is a Lenze i510 1.5 kW single-phase inverter, providing variable speed control of the motor.
The control panels incorporate the following components:
-
Lenze i510 inverter – 1.5 kW single-phase drive for motor speed control.
-
ABB control equipment – push buttons, isolator and contactors.
-
Foxtam transformer – control circuit power supply.
-
WAGO terminals – organised and reliable electrical connections.
-
Europa sockets – incorporated into the panel design.
-
Rittal enclosure – housing and protecting the electrical equipment.
-
Quartz TSL labels – clear identification of controls and components.

Designed, Built and Programmed by Modern Drives & Controls
All five control panels were designed, manufactured, wired and programmed by our team before being supplied directly to Claydon.
Using a Lenze inverter alongside carefully selected industrial electrical components allowed us to provide a complete, application-specific control solution.
The project demonstrates Modern Drives & Controls' ability to deliver bespoke machinery control panels, combining inverter technology, electrical design and control programming into a finished package.
