We designed and built a new stainless steel control panel for a food slicing machine.
Because the panel was intended for a food-processing application, the design needed to be robust, hygienic and easy to clean. Stainless steel construction provided a suitable finish for the environment, while the internal layout was designed around the machine’s control, protection and safety requirements.
The panel incorporates a Lenze i550 inverter, WAGO terminals, power supply, ABB isolator, circuit breakers, contactors and push buttons. Safety equipment includes a Pepperl+Fuchs safety monitor and IDEM safety relay, along with a Trumeter APM CT meter.
Modern Drives & Controls completed the design, manufacture and programming of the panel. It was then tested and supplied ready for installation.
This project demonstrates our ability to provide practical, application-specific control panels for machinery used in demanding industrial environments.
